As suspension requirements are split into three categories, standard height heavy duty, raised height comfort, and raised height heavy duty. Ultimate Leaf Springs
The Ultimate Leaf Spring is a fully staged progressively laminated leaf spring. This means that the length of each spring is proportioned to the length of the proceeding leaf, improving the characteristic of the spring. SUP 9A grade spring steel is used exclusively, greatly increasing elasticity and memory as well as giving longer life and greater safety. Each Ultimate leaf is treated in computer controlled furnaces giving precise heat control. This precision is required because high grade steel is less tolerant to variation in temperature (during manufacturing) than commonly used lower grade steels. The fully assembled springs are then subjected to a final test to ensure all leaves are seated and working as an effective unit. The test involves more than 800 deflections under extreme pressures.
Ultimate Sway-A-Way Torsion Bars
Enlargement of fitment ends for splineing is carried out by a process known as upsetting. This provides continuity of grain flow which ensured for a stronger structure than alternative methods. Heat treated in computer controlled furnaces and quenching tank, guaranteeing constant performance and superior memory, Shot Peened (stress relieved) for better load deflection and longevity, Scragged than preset to that spring is at zero deflection while accepting full vehicle weight. This means the torsion bar is under a lot less stress and therefore prolongs life.
